Maximizing Learning Potential is made up of six modules that build awareness, skills, and confidence around acquisition, understanding, retention, organization, and relationships. For Grades 11 & 12 and college students. Length: full day (6 hours).
Seeing My Time
The Seeing My Time program (also known as the Sklar Process®) takes an innovative, brain-based approach to teaching time management and other executive function skills. As participants are led through the Seeing My Time® workbook, they learn about their brain, and observe how visual tools can effectively support their brain with planning and organizing. This reflective, hands-on process lays the foundation for sustaining long-term change. For students, teachers/educators, parents. 9 hours, offered over 5+weeks.
“It’s okay to learn a different way!” taught through the example of Mumbles the penguin in the movie Happy Feet. Includes getting up to do a ‘penguin dance’ so kids are not sitting the whole time. For Grades K - 3. Length: 30 minutes.
Growth Mindset for Middle School Students
Students learn about neurons, neuroplasticity and brain health and build a pipe cleaner model of a neuron. For Grades 4 - 7. Length: 45 minutes.
Growth Mindset: Neuroplasticity in Action
Participants practice creating healthy neural pathways in their “plastic”, ever changing and growing brain. For ages 13+. Length: 45 minutes.
